Have you tried the flight simulator in Google Earth?
If you download Google Earth you can activate quite a nice flight simulator from within this software. You can then enjoy flying from a variety of predefined airports around the world or, in fact, just take off from anywhere in the world you like. I think taking off from Katmandu Airport and flying over the Himalayas is pretty fun. Or how about flying low over Paris?
Google Earth flight simulator has two types of airplane built in, so in that way it is a bit lacking, but I still think it's cool. And you can't beat the price ;) Why not try it out?
